Rob is the Guitarist and Vocalist in Steel Badge. Rob has played in several bands in the north-east Scotland area including Dinner at Bergie’s, Rapscallion, the Maria Hall Band and FutureX.
Jeremy – Lead Guitar
Jay has been performing since the age of 15 in his native London environment, most notably in the Mystery School, a psychedelic rock band from the early 90’s. Mainly a live performance band, they made regular appearances at the famed london club, Club Dog, and had a residency at the Hare and Hounds, Islington. Some remnant recordings still exist and can be found here and here.
Since moving to Scotland in 1998, jay held open mic sessions at the Universal Hall Cafe Open Mic Sessions from 2003-2009, and also held Jam Night sessions at Studio9 for 9 years from 2000-2008.
Jay’s recent bands include F-JAMS, The Maria Hall Band, FutureX and now Steel Badge.
Tony
Tony started playing guitar at the age of 14 but unable to master the use of six strings subsequently decided to try the bass. He joined a band which had its debut gig at his school concert to the amazement of the music tutor who had long decided that Tony had absolutely no musical talent. He was, of course, correct.
Tony went on to play in a various bands in Northampton for many years. He played in support bands for groups such as Georgie Fame, Zoot Money, The Who, Spencer Davis and Chris Farlowe. After a break of 20 years Tony started playing again with The Occasional Few, an internationally known Northampton Band.
Since moving to Scotland in 2004 Tony has played bass for a ceilidh band, Bergies Band, Maria Hall, FutureX and now Steel Badge.
